The Tughlaqabad fort is a fort located in Delhi which has now been converted into a ruin. The area of this fort is spread over 6km, which was constructed by Gias-udDin Tughlaq who established the Tughlaq Empire in Delhi Sultanate in 1321. He established it as Delhi's third historic city, which was later abandoned in 1327. Its name is named after the nearby Tughlaqabad residential-occupational area and Tughlaqabad Institutional Area. Tughlaq also constructed the Qutub-Badarpur road which connects the new city with the huge truck road. Currently this road is known as Mehrauli-Badarpur road. Around it are the Asla Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary, Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range and Okhla Industrial Area.
History of Tughlaqabad Fort Delhi
Ghazi Malik was a vassal of the Khilji rulers of Delhi, India. Once while traveling with his beetle owner, Ghazi boss suggested to him that the king should build a fort on the southern part of Delhi. In the joke of the King, Raja told Ghazi Malik that when you become king, then construct this fort.
In 1321 AD, Ghazi Malik defeated the Khulis and kept his name Gias-udDin Tughlaq and started the Tughlaq Empire. He immediately started to build his described city, which he used to dream, an impenetrable and beautiful fort built that was made away from Mangal riots. But luck did not like all this.
Curse of Nizamuddin Auliya:
Gias-udDin Tughlaq was known as a generous ruler. Although he was very passionate about his dream fort, due to which he ordered all the workers of Delhi to build that fort. A Sufi fakir, Saint Nizamuddin Auliya got very angry because all the laborers went to build that fort, due to which the construction work of his father was incomplete. The collision between the Sufi saint and the imperial monarch became the legend in India. After this, the saint gave him a curse which is believed to have been in the history till now, "or Rhee Ujjad, or the Gujjars settled", which means "either lived inhabited or will live gujjars". After this, the fall of the Sultanate started, after which the Gujjars of this region had constipated on this fort which is located in Tughlaqabad till date.
Emperor's death:
The saint gave another curse in which he had told Hanuj Delhi away (i.e. Delhi is still far away). At that time the emperor was busy in Bengal's campaign After his victory, he walked on the road leading to Delhi. On the way, in Uttar Pradesh's Kara, he met his son Muhammad bin Tughlaq. On the order of the Prince, the Shamiana (tents) of the emperor fell upon him, due to pressing on him, he died in 1324 AD.
Samadhi of Gias-udDin Tughlaq:
The 'Samadhi of Gias-udDin Tughlaq is associated with a paved road leading to the southern outpost of the fort. The length of this paved road is 600 ft, which has been provided by 27 arches, which were used to cross a delicate lake. Part of this paved road was used to cross the Mehrauli-Badarpur road during the 20th century. After crossing an old peepal tree there will be a high entrance door constructed with the help of red sandstone and some stairs, after entering this gate, Gias-udDin Tughlaq Fort of Parasar will be started.
There are three graves inside this tomb from which Gias-udDin Tughlaq of the center and the other two are his wife and his son or his successor, Muhammad bin Tughlaq. There is an octagonal mausoleum in the rugged corridors of the north-western bastion of the wall of the enclosure, in which there is a small marble hollow like this tomb and whose arched entrance has rock and marble inscriptions attached. According to the inscription made at the southern entrance to this tomb, this tombs belong to the remains of Zafar Khan.

Situated in the capital city of India, Delhi, and Tughlaqabad Fort is easily open by street. As Delhi is very well connected with all other major cities via air and rail, one can easily access the fort. Tughlaqabad Fort is situated at a separation of around 20 km from Delhi airport and 25 km from Delhi railway station. You can either take a taxi or take local transport to achieve the fort from station and airport. It is situated on Mehrauli-Badarpur Road and you can reach here by taking an auto or taxi. Or on the other hand you can take a metro and the closest metro station is Saket Metro Station.

Things to See in Tughlaqabad Fort Delhi
In Old Delhi, you can see the Red Fort built with red sandstone, at some places its height is 18 to 30 meters. Here the entire history of Delhi can be seen here by lighting and sound programs.
Chandni Chowk is another place here, which has attracted many tourists in Delhi, which is located opposite the Red Fort. There is Jain Lal temple, there is also a hospital of birds. Chandni Chowk is the main site of Indian trade and commerce.

Apart from all these, Humayun's Tomb, his wife Haji Begum has been presented. It is made using red and white sand stone and black and yellow marble stone.
Jantar Mantra is actually an observatory; From here, you can calculate an exact astronomical place. The National Museum of Natural History and the National Rail Museum are other major places which attract tourists.
