Tibetan Buddhist Monastery Temple is situated in Dehradun 9 kilometer far from Dehradun Railway station and this Buddhist temple is also known as Mindrolling Monastery. Mindrolling Monastery is famous tourist place and landmark in Dehradun. It is very famous and one of the beautiful architecture and many tourists come at this place every year.


Buddha Temple - Buddha temple in Dehradun, was built in 1965 by Khochhen Rinpoche and other small group of monks for the protection of religious and cultural understanding of Buddhism. Buddha temple has 220 feet long height and it was built in Japanese style and become the largest Buddhism centre in India. It also is known as Tibetan Buddhist Monastery.


Buddha temple contains five floors of statues’ Lord Buddha. Amazing golden painting walls are the major attraction for visitors of here. Around of 50 artists painted on these attractive walls and continued worked on it for 3 years. This place is holy place for lover Buddhism and they come here in large number and worship to Lord Buddha.


There are few shops of the holy book Buddhism religious and would be know more about Lord Buddha and their religion and culture. Apart from that, some shops for tourists shopping and few restaurants are available here.


It is very easy to reach Tibetan Buddhist Monastery Temple just takes bus, taxi or Vikram (Auto) for Clement Town from Railway Station Dehradun or from ISBT bus stand.
