Prashar Lake Himachal Pradesh
There is much ancient evidence in today's modern era that is beyond the understanding of science. No other name can be given to such evidence, except as a divine miracle. Similar divine evidence is seen in Lake Prashar as well. There is land in the middle of this lake that moves alone and keeps changing its direction. The temple and the ancient lake of the Prashar Rishi Deity is located at a distance of about 56 kilometers from the headquarters of the Mandi district. The lake is named after the wise Prashar. According to the Puranas, Rishi Prashar meditated in this place. The Prashar Rishi temple was built here in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries by the then princely state of King Bansen of Mandi, but nobody knows about the lake.
It is believed that since the creation of the universe, this lake was also formed. No one knows where the water in this lake comes from, built at an altitude of 9,100 feet and where it is going, but this water is not even stagnant. There is land in the middle of this lake and this land gives evidence of having some divine power here. This terrain also shows the relationship of the Earth in some way. This land does not stay in one place but continues. Balvir Thakur, head of the PrasharDevta Temple Committee, states that years ago this area used to be east in the morning and west at night. It is seen that walking and stopping is associated with virtue and sin. However, now this terrain sometimes stops at the same place for a few months and sometimes begins to move. Dozens of gods and goddesses from the area come and bathe near this sacred lake. The priests bring the Devrathas near the lake along with the Devlus and bathe the Devrath from the water here.
No one could measure the depth of Lake Prashar until today. Although it may be a matter of discovery for science, scientists have not been able to reach this place. Balveer Thakur, the head of the temple committee, says that centuries ago a king tried to measure the depth of the lake with ropes, but was unsuccessful. It is also said that a few decades ago a foreign woman went to the lake with an oxygen cylinder, but there was no one to communicate with her in English, so you could not know how far the lake was. To this day nobody has been able to discover what the secret is within the lake.
