Mussoorie (Garhwali/Hindi: Masuri) is a slope station and a civil board in the Dehradun District of the northern Indian province of Uttarakhand. It is around 35 kilometers (22 mi) from the state capital of Dehradun and 290 km (180 mi) north of the national capital of New Delhi. The slope station is in the lower regions of the Garhwal Himalayan range. The connecting town of Landour, which incorporates a military cantonment, is considered piece of 'more prominent Mussoorie', similar to the townships of Barlowganj and Jharipani. The pin code for Mussoorie is 248179. Mussoorie is at a normal elevation of 1,880 meters (6,170 ft). Toward the upper east are the Himalayan snow goes, and toward the south, the Doon Valley and Shiwalik ranges. The second most noteworthy point is the first Lal Tibba in Landour, with a stature of more than 2,275 meters (7,464 ft). Mussoorie is prominently known as The Queen of the Hills.
