Kullu or Kulu is the capital town of the Kullu area in the Indian province of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated on the banks of the Beas River in the Kullu Valley around 10 kilometers (6.2 mi) north of the airplane terminal at Bhuntar. Kullu Valley is a wide open valley shaped by the Beas River amongst Manali and Largi. The course of the Beas waterway displays a progression of grand, clad with backwoods of deodar, transcending above trees of pine on the lower rough edges. Kullu valley is sandwiched between the Pir Panjal, Lower Himalayan and Great Himalayan Ranges.
