History of Khajrana Ganesh Temple

The temple was built in 1735 by Ahilyabai, the Empress of the Holkar dynasty. According to beliefs, devotees make three orbits of this temple and bind threads in the temple wall.

This idol is said to be about the ancient statue in the temple. This statue was seen in a dream of a local Pandit Mangal Bhatt. After this dream, Queen Ahilya Bai Holkar excavated and installed idols from under the ground and installed. From where the statue was removed, there is a waterfall, which is right in front of the temple.

In the Khajrana temple of Indore, there is a daily worship and aarti, but Wednesday is special for the day. Special Puja and Aarti are organized on that day. A large number of devotees come in this.

This temple is considered one of the richest temples in the country. Otherwise the program is considered incomplete. Apart from the purchase and sale of new car, house, shop, land and property, devotees come from far and near places to come.
