Adi Kailash Trek & Om Parvat Yatra Package 2026

The Soul of Kumaon: More Than Just a "Replica"
Adi Kailash and Om Parvat are not just peaks in the Kumaon region, they are the spiritual beating heart of Uttarakhand. While many call Adi Kailash (5,945m) "Chhota Kailash" or a replica of the Tibetan Mount Kailash, to the local Kumaoni people, this is the Primal Abode. It is the "Adi" (First) home of Mahadev.

When you enter the Vyas Valley, you aren't just trekking, you are walking through the living pages of the Skanda Purana. Standing at the edge of Parvati Sarovar, the water doesn't just reflect the spiritually bright peak—it reflects a deep, ancient silence that you won't find anywhere.

The Mystery of the Snow-Carved ?
The journey reaches its pinnacle at Om Parvat (6,191m), a miracle where geology meets faith. This is the only place on Earth where snow rests in the natural rock crevices to form a perfect, visible "OM" (?).

The Hidden Secret: Ancient Vedic texts suggest there are eight such natural "Om" formations in the Himalayas. So far, this is the only one revealed to mankind.

The Nabidhang View: The best way to witness this is from Nabidhang. It’s not just a photo opportunity for your camera; it is a moment where even the most seasoned trekkers stop talking and simply breathe in the divine energy.

What the Guides Won't Tell You "The Real Depth"

Most websites just give you a list of distances and altitudes. But let’s talk about what the journey actually does to you. It’s not just a trek; it’s a shift in your system.

The Dharchula Breakpoint Dharchula is where the "real world" starts to fade away. Once you cross this point and start moving alongside the roaring Kali River, the air gets sharper and the city noise in your head finally goes quiet. By the time you reach the high-altitude peace of Gunji, you’ll realize you’ve left the plains far behind.

Nabi: More Than Just a Bed for the Night Don’t just check into your room and sleep in Nabi. This village is a living fortress of the Rung community. These people have lived here for generations, guarding the gateway to Tibet. Their houses are made of old Himalayan cedar wood, and if you sit with the elders, they’ll tell you stories of the Pandavas that you won’t find in any history book. It’s a chance to see a way of life that hasn’t changed even as the rest of the world moved on.

The Reality of the Gauri Kund Climb The climb to Gauri Kund at the base of Adi Kailash is the real test. Honestly? It’s not about how fit your legs are—it’s about your breath and your willpower. The air is thin, and the water in the lake is freezing. But there’s a local belief: even a few drops of that water on your face can wash away years of mental weight. You don't come back down the same person who went up.

Important Note: To save your time and avoid last-minute Dharchula headaches, please secure your Medical Fitness Certificate in advance at the time of booking confirmation. It is the most critical document for your Inner Line Permit.

All the documents must include a photograph. Hotel/camps or any kind of accommodation can deny stay if valid id proof is not provided. The company is not responsible for any ID proof-related issues.

  • Sightseeing places mentioned in plan is suggested popular places. It may be possible you can't cover all of them. It depends on traffic situation and amount of time client takes on each places. Some bigger vehicles like bus and tempo traveler can access very limited places in each destination. From nearest parking point of bigger vehicles tourists can use local vehicles like cycle rickshaw, auto, taxi etc at own cost. For groups / large families we advise hiring local tour guide for time management so guests can cover more places within available time. It is best if tourists highlight the places which must be covered and type of must do activities at the time of booking so we can advise proper schedule as well as extra cost of intercity local transport as per their vehicle size, destination and traffic situation.
  • In mountain areas it is hard to define hotels in star categories as most of them are not certified or will qualify for star level services especially for 4 and 5 star level. Hotel prices depend on their location, time of travel & services. Some areas you will find good hotels at cheaper price like Haridwar Corbett while some places like Nainital Mussoorie you might pay almost double to get same level of hotel. If you take hotels in prime locations hotel do cost much higher compare to outskirt hotels. Our price is as per hotels included not as per star categories. Stairs are common in hill areas even in luxury hotels due to mountain terrain. Kindly properly mention in email at the time of confirmation if guest do not want stairs at all. Hotel change last minute will be difficult in high season and may cost extra.
  • If meals are included in the package, they will be served on a set menu basis in a buffet menu / fixed / meal credit. Any items which are not in their Buffet / Fixed menu will be charged extra at the time of consumption. Hotels decide the menu and options of items for the menu. Some hotels have a Meal credit policy instead of a Buffet or Fixed Menu during low occupancy in the hotel. This meal credit amount is decided by hotel management. If the bill goes above the given meal credit amount then the extra amount should be paid directly at the respective hotel. Room service for the food or packing is charged extra at many hotels.
  • Normally for extra beds in double sharing rooms many hotels have rollaway beds while the rest of the hotels provide extra mattresses only. If you are not comfortable with the rollaway beds/mattress system instead of the proper bed let us know in advance at the time of inquiry.
  • Unless mentioned specific room at the time of booking. By default base, category rooms are booked. If you want rooms with a view or balcony only kindly mention it at the time of inquiry.
  • In the hill area many hotels do not have TV, AC, Intercom, Wifi, 24*7 Power Back Up, or lift. Kindly check if you are interested in hotels with the above facilities only let us knows at the time of inquiry. Room heaters may be charged extra at hotels. Lift is mostly not available so if any issue with stairs let us know in advance. Many hill station hotels don't have AC but are just a fan even in 4-star hotels, kindly check before confirmation.
  • If you book more than one room it may be possible that not all rooms are in the same area or same floor or exactly the same even in the same category or at the same price. Sometimes people travel in groups so room allocation will be as per hotel management. Room selection before the check is sometimes not possible. It is not possible for hotel to give all clients the best rooms. Kindly cooperate for the same at the time of check-in.
  • AC will not work in all hill areas or stopped/parked vehicles. (Uphill downhill or flat hill road, ac will not work in any roads on hills). In Uttarakhand only Dehradun, Corbett, Haridwar, and Rishikesh are non-hill areas. All other areas are mountains and on all mountain roads from ac will not work in the car. Extra charges will be applied if full ac car will be required. Tourist vehicle AC often feels less cool than private cars, especially in summer.
  • We reserve the right to give you a similar car if the car you booked is unavailable. Due to any reason if vehicle breakdown due to technical reasons we will try our best to arrange another vehicle as soon as possible for the major problems. For minor problems which will not take much time vehicle will be repaired. Kindly cooperate.
  • In case you want multiple visits to some particular place kindly mention it in advance because some places are having very high charges for parking. We generally include parking one place one time.
  • Tour pick up and drop point will be one only (If multiple airport/train pickups please mention email conversation before booking) Tour destination/route cannot change without prior notice (Amended route and tour Destination rates may be changed).
  • If package pick up drop is from Delhi / Dehradun local sightseeing/usage is not included in any program unless we have mentioned it in the itinerary. Due to the large area of these cities, extra charges may be applied for extra sightseeing. Kindly check with clients if they want to include it if drop is late night or early morning pick up.
  • In some hill areas roads driving after sunset and music are not allowed due to the risk of life. Kindly cooperate for the same.
  • The rates are subject to change, depending on the sudden inflation of diesel/Petrol prices in India or very high inflation due to the economic crisis. If fuel prices increase more than 5% compared to rates at the time of booking we might have to give revised cost.
  • Sometimes vehicle parking areas little far from the sightseeing spots. Guests need to reach the parking at their own cost. At many of the tourist destinations/hill stations - some of the roads/shopping markets/mall roads have "NO ENTRY" for all / some bigger tourist vehicles depending on the destination along with time restrictions also. In this kind of situation, guests have to manage another available mode of transport with an additional cost and on a direct payment basis; this cost is not included in the ideal package inclusion. The driver will not drive in No-entry zones and should not be forced to drive on narrow streets or roads which can create traffic jam. Normal working hours of driver is 10 hrs in case you want services more than 10 hours in a day kindly inform us in advance.
  • Car booked for the tour is as per the program. Car is not on a disposable basis unless we have informed you in advance at the time of booking. We do not give cars based on the km limit where guests can travel as per their choice of 200-300 km per for unlimited hours per day. Sightseeing will be as per the program and extra sightseeing not on the route sometime cost extra. During the peak season, car/taxi rates are very high than the off-season.
  • Vehicle will be permitted to use for sightseeing points on the route and inside the city limits or which is mentioned in the itinerary. All nearby sightseeing points should be covered together. However, in case of sometime issues with some particular place, we can adjust. For additional sightseeing, off-route sightseeing, sightseeing not inside the city limits, or substitute sightseeing kindly contact the company. A refund is not possible if any particular sightseeing point is not covered. In case you want some excursions kindly inform the company in advance or discuss these things with the company rather than the driver.
  • In Mussoorie Nainital many hotels are not accessible by car if they are at Mall Road. On Mall Road our cars will not drive at these places. In Mussoorie car will not drive in very small roads like Lal Tibba. In Nainital car will not go to Zoo Road / Snow View Point. In Nainital local car is required due to strict local rules against the outside cars in core areas like Mall Road, Naini Lake etc. The small vehicle can be used in this case at an extra cost payable directly. In Nainital bigger vehicles like Tempo Travelers / bus will remain outside only and pick up / drop to city hotel local cars guest can use at extra cost.
  • Our car will not drive on snow for safety reasons. You can use our car till there is snow on road for visit or get local vehicles suitable for driving on snow at own cost. 2026 Om Parvat & Adi Kailash Yatra 2026: FAQ & Expert Advice

Q1: What is the best time for an Om Parvat trip to see the "OM" clearly?

Ans: There are two best windows:

  • May to June: You see plenty of snow.
  • September to October: This is the best time. The skies are crystal clear, and the fresh light snow makes the "?" symbol on the black rock stand out perfectly. Avoid July and August due to heavy monsoon landslides in the Vyas Valley.

Q2: Do I need a passport for the Adi Kailash trek?

Ans: No, you don't need a passport if you are an Indian citizen. However, you must have an Aadhaar Card or Voter ID. Since this is a border area near Nepal and China, an Inner Line Permit (ILP) and a Medical Fitness Certificate are mandatory.

Q3: Can I get a separate room in Gunji or Nabi?

Ans: Raw Truth: No. In high-altitude villages like Nabi and Gunji, stay options are very limited. Most stays are in traditional homestays or guest houses on a dormitory sharing basis (6-8 people per room). It’s a basic, clean, and authentic local experience.

Q4: Is there any mobile network during the trek?

Ans: Expect a total digital detox. Only BSNL works in some parts of the Vyas Valley, but it is very unreliable. It is best to inform your family that you will be out of reach once you cross Dharchula.

Q5: What is the actual Adi Kailash trek distance?

Ans: Forget the old 100 km trekking maps. Thanks to the new BRO roads, the "hard walking" is nearly gone. You now drive almost all the way to Jolingkong.

The Actual Walk: From the road-head at Jolingkong to the Adi Kailash Temple and Parvati Sarovar, it is a gentle 3 km hike.
Optional Climb: If you want to touch Gauri Kund (just below the peak), it’s an additional 1–2 km of steeper ascent.
Total Footwork: Across the whole trip, you’ll likely only walk 8–10 km. The rest is a rugged, scenic 4x4 drive.
