Day 01 - Arrival at Delhi: Your cultural India tour starts with your arrival in Delhi. From international airport, you move to hotel and relax for the day to prepare yourself for your Delhi tour next day. Delhi is a historical city that served as a capital for different kings and dynasties. It is now the capital city of modern India and a sprawling city with lots of tourist attractions for travelers on trip to India.
Day 02 - Delhi: Your 2nd day tour starts with your breakfast and continues with Delhi sightseeing tour. This Delhi tour involves your visits to Raj Ghat, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Qutub Minar, India Gate, Parliament House, and President House (Rastrapathi Bhawan). Raj Ghat, Red Fort and Jama Masjid are located in the Old Delhi area. Raj Ghat is the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi - the father of the nation. This city, which derives its name from two streams, the Varuna and the Assi, has remained for centuries a prime learning and religious center for Hindus in India. Millions of people visit this holy city each year. In Varanasi, you get a chance to visit the various ghats of Ganges, colorful temples, centers of music and art, all offering a unique experience to a travelers on trip to India. However, before you explore Varanasi in detail, you move for a visit to Sarnath by road that lies 5 miles from Varanasi. Sarnath is an important Buddhist center where Buddha preached his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Here, you visit Dharmarajika Stupa, Damekh Stupa, and Archeological Museum. Later you return to Varanasi to enjoy the evening 'aartis' at ghats.
Day 04 - Varanasi: 4th day tour starts early morning with your visit to Daswamedh Ghat. Here you get a chance to experience the living Hindu traditions by watching how Hindus cremate the dead bodies. You guide will accompany you as a boat takes you to the middle of the Ganges to watch the unique sight of thousands of people coming to the ghats for a holy dip. Day 05 - Varanasi - Khajuraho: Your 5th day involves your onward journey to Khajuraho by air. Khajuraho lies in the northern region of Madhya Pradesh. It is world famous for the dance festival and the temples featuring erotic paintings and sculptures. After check in at the hotel, you visit the eastern and western temples of the city. Visitors usually spend more time at the western temples as they are more elaborate and beautiful. Here, you also enjoy the interesting sound and light show.
Day 06 - Khajuraho - Orchha - Jhansi - Gwalior : On 6th day of your cultural India trip, you proceed to Orchha by road. Here you watch different attractions within the Fort Complex. After lunch, you board the superfast train to Gwalior. The city of Gwalior lies near Agra and features lots of historic monuments, temples, and other magnificent attractions. This city is believed to date from 8th century when it was established by a local ruler Suraj Sen and named after a hermit-saint Gwalipa. Day 07 - Gwalior: After breakfast on day 7th of your India tour, you start the sightseeing tour of Gwalior. You visit the magnificent Gwalior Fort, Man Mandir Palace, Gujari Mahal, Sas Bahu ka Mandir and Jai Vilas Palace. The Gwalior Fort is an important landmark of the city, bearing testimony to various battles and historic events. Ranked among the most invincible forts of India, it features 35 feet high walls that are nearly 2 miles in length. The Man Mandir Palace dates from late 15th century and features beautiful tiles, big chambers, and the legendary Jauhar Pond. Day 08 - Gwalior - Agra: You start your eighth day of India tour with drive to Agra by road. Agra, originally a little village, transformed into a city during Mughal Empire. It served as the capital city of Mughal Empire during the reign of Akbar and Shah Jahan. Its original name was Dar-ul-Khilafat meaning seat of the Emperor. Various historical structures built during Mughal period still remind one of Mughal Empire. After reaching Agra, you relax at hotel while enjoying the beautiful views of Taj Mahal from your room.
Day 09 - Agra: The ninth day of your tour involves visiting Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj. Taj Mahal, an architectural wonder, is the world famous structure built by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal. This white marble structure features beautiful domes and intricate carvings on the walls. No tourist wants to miss the sight of this magnificent structure while on trip to India. Day 11 - Jaipur: The eleventh day of your cultural India tour is completely dedicated to sightseeing in Jaipur. You visit the magnificent Amber Fort built by Raja Man Singh I in 1592. Day 12 - Jaipur - Delhi: In the morning of the last day of your trip, after taking breakfast, you move out of the hotel to explore the lively bazaars of Jaipur on cycle rickshaw. Here you get a chance to watch closely the arts of textile block printing, pottery making, carpet weaving, craft making, etc., at different shops. In the afternoon, after enjoying the delicious lunch, you return to Delhi by road for your onward journey as per your schedule.
